Picture in My Mind

Pink Pantheress makes music that varies in alt-pop, drum and bass, 2-step garage etc. Her style is rather unique and humble and remains in a friend oriented atmosphere.

Picture in My Mind original music video takes place inside of a laundromat. I felt that this tapped into her authentic nature and kept the video more relatable. I decided to take clips from the video and use them amongst my concept. Doing a lot of things that felt hand made and hand drawn was best. Throughout the visualizer the original video appears in two ways. It first appears in a purple color and has hand drawn animation around the people. When PinkPantheress is alone on screen singing she is shown in original color to separate her and shift the tone of the visualizer. This to also mimic how you would see her live in concert. She has a different variety of backgrounds that show up behind her. The hand drawn animation is around people whenever they show up. When there is no people there is a cut out character of PinkPantheress. I was heavily inspired by collage animation. I created 2 juxtaposed beings to represent PinkPantheress and a hypothetical significant other. The beings have various interactions throughout the visualizer.

The song is about PinkPantheress convincing her significant other that they are meant to be together even if they fight. There are animations of fights and also times when the beings are depicted together. There are snippets of lyrics, not to seem like a lyric video, but it can help the crowd sing along.
